Collins Marine will be launching the Arvor 605 Sportfish at the 2014 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
Designed for the North Sea and built in Europe, the Arvor Sportfish brings together old school values with modern design. Still there is the walk-around bow, huge self-draining cockpit and bait holding tanks. Remaining is the large lockable cabin but with a modern feel and luxury fittings, which are essential if you want to share your good times with your family and non-angler friends. At the helm you’ll find the large flat wrap-around windscreen, opening side hatches and huge sun roof that allows light and air to flood in which gives you an open feel. The ability to close up the hatches and bunker down mean you’re safe from rain and icy wind on those days that turn nasty. Occupants can enjoy boating 12 months of the year on any waterway.
With a large array of standard features and options such as bow thruster, electric windlass, fridge, sea toilet, bimini and additional rod holders, you can find the right boat to suit you. From trailerable to overnight stay, there is something that will suit all requirements and budgets.
Maritimo will have one of the largest on-water displays this year, and its main attraction will be the new S58, the world premiere of this model, launching at the 2014 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
Described as the big brother of the S50, the S58 boasts the Maritimo hallmarks of full-beam master, walk-around decks, aft galley and bi-fold doors, as well as three-cabins and three bathrooms. The saloon layout is the same as M58, without the flybridge and the helm relocated to the forward starboard corner, replacing the wine locker. The wine-locker is where the staircase would be on the M58.
Stand Up Paddle Boarding is one of the fastest growing sports in Australia and was recently named the fastest growing outdoor recreational activity in the world.
In the SUP category at the 2014 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) is the remarkable range of Uliboards. From Victoria, but imported from the US, Uliboards are inflatable stand up paddle boards designed by long board surfing legend, Gerry Lopez.
Available in a range of sizes for different uses, Uliboards are the original inflatable SUP.
Made of specially formulated PVC from Europe, the result of massive investment in research and development and completely hand-made in San Diego with the input of surfers and yacht engineers, the Uliboard SUP is a portable, versatile and supremely strong board.
“They come complete with a hand pump that takes about four minutes to inflate,” said Australian distributor, Tanzer Husnu.
“They roll up into a bag and weigh about 12kg so they are lightweight and stowable. You can get a three-piece paddle that can be rolled up with the board.
The most popular model is the 10ft Steamroller, which will cope with swells as well as flat water and retails for about $1600. As a SCIBS show special, Husnu will be offering visitors a discount of 20 per cent off across the Uliboards range.
This will be the sixth year Uliboards are on show at SCIBS, which Tanzer said is the best form of marketing and sales for the brand.
“Last year, we sold 27 boards, all our stock, and plenty more orders from the show. Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is our favourite boat show and the only one we’ll be doing this year,” he said.
The NSS12 has a large 12.1-inch touch-screen display, is brutally strong, elegantly designed and delivers best-in-class performance. The chartplotter / multifunction display has a built-in GPS and full NMEA 2000® network capabilities.
Introducing the new BlueCool S Series air-conditioning system
The new generation of BlueCool air-conditioning systems for motorboats and yachts is now available from Webasto. The systems are offered for installation as both original equipment and for retrofitting.
The compact air-conditioning systems from the new BlueCool S-series are suitable for boats with up to 3 cabins. The advantage of these space-saving models is that a separate unit is installed in each cabin which ensures that the desired temperature is individually maintained. Six different models are available in this range, with cooling capacities between 8,000 and 27,000 BTU/h. All of the units are capable of not only cooling, but thanks to their heat pump function they can also provide heat. This means that even on cold days the temperature on board will remain pleasant.
The S-series is up to 15% more efficient and up to 20% smaller than its predecessor, the BlueCool Classic.
They are mounted on a solid, thermally insulated, stainless steel tray. All units are epoxy-painted for durable corrosion protection. Highly efficient compressors allow extremely low power consumption and a multi-point injection evaporator offers higher unit efficiency.
Additionally, the S-series also comes with a fully redesigned electrical circuitry with integrated USB port for easy programming, hours of operation and complete fault history.
Visit us at Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, Stand #219/220 for the first view of the BlueCool S-series unit.

Fleming Yachts Australia is exhibiting the latest Australian Fleming 55 at this year’s SCIBS. An obsessive desire to make the best even better has resulted in a vessel with hundreds of practical and sensible improvements since its inception in 1985, allied to the latest that technology can offer.
The Fleming 55 has become a truly international success story; the ideal choice for discerning yachtsmen who appreciate the amazing attention to detail, superb engineering and workmanship, an extraordinarily quiet ride, the sophisticated on-board monitoring systems and the beautifully crafted interiors. Through 28 years of building, she has proven to be a thoroughly timeless design.
Fleming Yachts have now produced over 230 hulls of the Fleming 55, which is said to be the “ultimate cruising yacht” by many boating journalists and Fleming owners around the world.
There are some exciting launches in the trawler-style segment at this year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS), including for the first time in the Australian market, the latest model Kadey-Krogen 48 displayed by dealer, Andrew Coffey.
“It’s definitely a niche product, a full displacement trawler, from 39 to 58-feet and above,” said Mr Coffey.
“It’s built by a US company whose shipyard is in Taiwan. The range is premium end in terms of quality of build and equipment. The 48-foot is the most popular model.”
Coffey says just about everything will appeal to the Australian market, from layout, to efficiency of hull.
“It’s ideal for cruising, with immense range. You can cruise the Pacific, or around the world. Kadey-Krogen boats are built for the long haul and supremely comfortable for live aboard.”
Wherever you are at sea or on land, the rescueME PLB1 provides the reassurance that emergency services can be alerted by the press of a button.
The rescueMe PLB1 can be operated with a single hand in even the most challenging situations. A simple spring loaded flap covers the activation button preventing inadvertent use. rescueME PLB1 works with the only officially recognised worldwide dedicated search and rescue satellite network (operated by Cospas Sarsat). As this is funded by governments there are no charges to use this service. When activated the rescueME PLB1 transmits your position and your ID to a Rescue Coordination Center via satellite link.
Rescue services are promptly notified of your emergency and regularly advised of your current location.
At SCIBS, All Sat Communications will be giving away one unit of rescueME PLB1 each day, valued at $399 each. Entry is via business card drawer on the All Sat Communications stand.
Check your Show Guide for location details and be sure to visit All Sat Communications at the Show!
Nitro Marine will be back in its prominent position at the intersection of The Promenade and Quay Street, with a range of 2014 motors and models on display.
As well as some of the latest Mercury Outboards and MerCruiser engines, there will be a selection of Mercury branded inflatables and RIBs on show. Nitro Marine also represents the Blue Fin aluminium range of boats and will have some at this year’s SCIBS.
In addition, there will be the Crownline 18SS bowrider and CSB Huntsman 5m La Plata cabin boat, plus two models from the Pioneer range: the Pioneer 197 Sportfish with Mercury 150hp 4-stroke and the Pioneer 197 Islander, with Mercury 150hp 4-stroke.
Since first releasing the V625 model at Sanctuary Cove in 2011, Voyager Catamarans have continued to develop their very smart trailer cat and now have three variations to choose from: Classic, Sportsfish or Hardtop.
At this year’s show, Voyager will be displaying the latest ‘Sportsfish’ version which is now being built under contract by the Haines Signature factory at Wacol in Queensland.
This versatile design can be supplied with either an open or lockup cabin featuring two singles or a king-size berth, while the large cockpit can incorporate bait tanks, fish boxes, side pockets, and deck wash and much more. Various seating options are available, along with lockers, fresh water, cooking and refrigeration, toilet, plus a range of canopies and storm covers.
With a boat, motor and trailer weight of only 2 to 2.5 tonnes, the V625 is easily towed and easy to handle both on and off the water, while maintaining that superb catamaran ride and performance.
After launching their new Hudson Bay lobster style sedan cruisers at the Gold Coast Marine Expo in November 2013, Clipper Motor Yachts is pleased to announce it will be expanding its range with a 32ft model.
Designed and tooled from scratch as a new design, the 32 will have the same styling DNA as the 39 – a sleek and stylish sedan with flared hull and tumblehome transom in the Newport, Rhode Island tradition.
Clipper’s managing director, Brett Thurley, initially began the design process with a design that he and Mark Campion of Clipper collaborated on. Being 9.95m in length and 3.3m wide, the 32 is set to achieve the perfect balance of modern and classic themes with traditional “lobster boat” lines.
Incorporating the same teak swim platform and overhead rain shower in the cockpit as the 34 and 39 models, the 32 will provide seamless entertaining with the cockpit and saloon presented on the same level. Entering through the transom door, the self draining cockpit is equipped with L shaped seating and table, extendable awning, BBQ area and stainless steel sliding door that transitions into the enclosed saloon.
“These superbly styled vessels are crafted for the buyer who wants something with a little more class and individuality over the production sports cruiser,” said Mr Thurley.
Accommodation for four people is across a double master cabin and double convertible dinette – the ideal family layout.
Extensive viewing through large side windows and windscreen will be obtained from the double helm seat covered in ultra leather, Raymarine GPS plotter and fishfinder will come standard along with a VHF radio and Italian crafted Isotta helm wheel.
Powered by a 260HP Yanmar diesel shaft drive engine, the hull design allows for cruising speeds on the plane above 14 knots and sprint speed approaching 20 knots with a 600L fuel tank capacity and a 3000 watt inverter/ battery charger.
Clipper Motor Yachts is pleased to have expanded its partnership with the family owned Turkoglu Yatcilik Ltd Shipyard in Turkey. Clipper has benefited from the collaboration of multiple visits to the shipyard to meet with Davut, Mesut and Ibrahim Turkoglu to design, tool and manufacturer this new model alongside the Hudson Bay 39 model.
The first hull is completed with the deck and internal fit out having commenced. This model is priced at $329,000 with the first boat due for her world premiere at Sanctuary Cove boat show in May, 2014.
Making its return to the Australian market after a long absence, the premium brand Ocean Alexander will present one of the stand-out yachts at this year’s boat show, the Ocean Alexander 72 Pilothouse.
At 72-feet, it’s still easily owner-operated and the ideal entertainer or cruising vessel for a family or couple, but this superyacht comes complete crew quarters if required. With the twin hydraulic thrusters, lower helm and upper helm, “it can turn on a dime”, as dealer principal, Todd Holzapfel explains.
“There’s plenty that’s different about this boat from its competitors,” say Todd.
“Certainly in the details like elliptical stainless steel railings, which are more ergonomic, but also in the package we offer.”
As well as being semi-custom, which means you can choose from a range of layout options, from accommodation to styling and equipment options for the master ensuite, including a Jacuzzi and ‘turnkey’ delivery with everything included – right down to the towels.
Each boat comes complete with linen, pots, pans, cutlery, utensils, crockery, glassware and yes, a coffee maker! Inside the cupboards, glasses and plates are firmly secured in custom-made cabinetry.
Inside, the Ocean Alexander 72 comprises all the space a cruising family could require. Ideal for this sunburnt country, UV-tinted windows that are said to increase energy efficiency by at least 25 percent, and reduce fading and of the yacht's interior, plus flyscreens.
Returning for a second year at SCIBS, Noble Boats will showcase a diverse range of products in 2014.
Jason Lee, general manager at Noble Boats explains: “Noble Boats have a boat to suit everybody. We will have the Noble dinghies on display, from 3.6m to 5m, as well as the Noble 5.8m Centre Cabin Targa, Noble 6.25m Centre Cabin Hardtop, Noble Aluminium V-Hull Rigid Inflatable Boats in the 3m and 3.7m models.”
There will also be several models in the Noble Inflatable Boats with flat aluminium flooring range.
“All our plate aluminium boats are manufactured to the highest quality standards and can be used as specific fishing boats or for leisure boating,” says Lee.
“Each Noble Boat is of superior integrity – in all aspects of design, construction, welding, fit out and finishing – for safety and durability.”
SCIBS is a great international platform for Noble Boats, says Lee.
“It’s the channel to reach out to an ever growing boating and outdoor leisure industry. It will also provide a great platform to showcase our new and innovative products we have to offer.
“For us, it’s about the consumers choosing a lifestyle that suits their needs and we will be reaching out to them to understand more of their outdoor leisure needs.
“Most buyers are looking to downgrade or upgrade from other vessels they currently have. Some prefer to have a boat that’s versatile and easy to transport but also safe and comfortable while travelling offshore. This is where buyers come to us to understand why the Noble Boats may suit and meet their needs for all things boating and on the water.”
Is there a finer way to enjoy the canals and waterways, even offshore, than on a sturdy, stylish pontoon boat? At this year’s SCIBS, Runaway Bay Pontoon Boats will have examples of their exceptional, locally made boats, ideal for entertaining, family adventures, fishing, commercial use or just cruising.
Craig Winch from Runaway Bay Pontoon Boats says these Brisbane-built beauties can be custom-made to whatever size and spec you choose, from colour, amenities onboard, layout, bimini and more, limited only by your imagination.
“Our customers can actually come to our Brisbane factory and see the options available. We sit down with them and design their ideal boat, from 16ft to 30ft, or bigger, twin or tri hull. It’s up to you,” said Craig.
You can even purchase a Runaway Bay Pontoon Boat in kit form and enjoy the thrill of the project.
Stable, beachable, able to handle all conditions, Runaway Bay Pontoon Boats are made of marine-grade alloy, stronger and more durable than some of their imported rivals.
“And for post-sales service and any queries, we’re there. We live and work in Queensland, but we have customers all over the country, as well as international. We’re always looking for distributors around Australia, so Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is the ideal platform for us.”
VicSail will be releasing the new design Lagoon Catamarans: Lagoon 39 and Lagoon 52 at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show this year. They are the most innovative cats on the market with the most modern look inside and out.
With a diamond-shaped vertical bows, bevelled hulls, its as if levitated deckhouse and tall rig, the Lagoon Catamaran 52 is no ordinary catamaran in Australia, but its originality goes a great deal further than just its “outer” appearance or its interior layout.
This new Lagoon catamarans is the result of lengthy discussions between the architects at Von Peteghem-Lauriot Provost (VPLP) and the Italian Nauta Design agency. The discussions resulted in a elegance, comfortable, safe, user friendly, and performance under sail.

Perfectly suited to cruising the Queensland Coast and beyond.
Putting the pleasure of life with family friends to the fore, the Sense 46 has two spacious cabins and keeps the general layout that has made the Sense concept so successful. Life on board is organized into three spaces, from the bow to the stern: An outdoor living space featuring a large cockpit, a beautiful bathing platform and easy access to the sea; An indoor living space that favours spending time together, with a huge saloon, which has all the atmosphere of a sitting room and a spacious well-appointed galley; Lastly, the night space located to the fore offers two spacious twin cabins, each with its own private shower.

Waterscape – bringing the indoor lifestyle outdoors
Superior is preparing for a global launch during SCIBS, of what it calls “world-first commercial and domestic adaptive floating system (AFS) that sets a new benchmark in waterfront living”.
The Waterscape project is a floating waterfront structure that transforms a format that has changed little in 50 years. Waterscape provides solutions to the engineering and design challenges found in the current design of waterfront structures.
Alexander Lotersztain (director of Derlot Pty Ltd) and John Hogan (CEO of Superior) worked collaboratively on the Waterscape project, combining Alexander’s high-end design excellence and creative perspective and John’s engineering expertise.
The use of world-class technology and cutting-edge design techniques has resulted in a product that has been created using the input of boat owners from the very beginning of the design process. Waterscape integrates low maintenance materials and the construction of the product uses Rotomoulding, as well as die casting, injection moulding, and sand casts to name a few. The strength of the system is provided through extruded aluminium or concrete structural members: tried and proven engineering materials that are recyclable. The product has been rigorously tested through FEA (finite element analysis) to ensure that the user receives the embodiment of their dreams within a robust, floating frame.
Waterscape is as simple as it is versatile. The design allows for modifications that can extend from internal patented levelling systems and inbuilt subsea anchoring to having a full entertaining suite, complete with a barbeque area, booth seating, shade, and extensive LED lighting options.
Waterscape brings the indoor lifestyle, outdoors.
C-Worthy Marine will be launching the all-new 190 Deckboat – a new product for the brand and which it predicts will be a hit at SCIBS.
The 190 Deckboat is a Pontoon style entertainer, with comfortable interior for cruising and a fuel-efficient 115hp Mercury outboard to get the 190 up on plane fast, even with the maximum of 11 onboard. Bayliner Deck Boats have the space, versatility, features, comfort and performance to satisfy the on-water ambitions of big, active crews. Thoughtful design creates an open, seating-rich layout with plenty of spots to sun, play or just plain relax. Optional filler cushions can create broad bow lounge areas.
Award Winning Side-Power Vector Fin stabiliser system
AMI Marine will showcase Side-Power’s Vector Fin stabiliser system, the 2013 METS DAME overall award winning product. The fins are a unique vertical concave shape which redirects the force direction to a more vertical vector to improve roll reduction and decrease the negative side effects of yaw and sway. The fins also increase the leverage arm around the vessel’s rolling centre point, further enhancing the roll reduction force benefit and minimising drag. The new SPS55 and SPS66 actuators are the most compact fin stabiliser actuators ever! Designed to fit in the small available spaces in modern boats.
Marco Self Priming Variable Speed Pressure Pumps
The Marco Self Priming Variable Speed Pressure Pump has integrated check valves and electronic controls for ease of use. Featuring a variable speed drive dependant on water volume required the pump ensures minimal power consumption and noise levels. With a nickel plated brass body and stainless steel shaft, the pump is ideal for marine applications such as shower kits and water pressure systems on all types of vessels. No more accumulator tanks!

Balancing aesthetic appeal with strength and durability, Tessilmare’s new range of Fender Profiles are highly regarded for their shock-absorbing properties whilst still being easy to install in only a few simple steps. Manufactured to meet different vessel requirements, models feature co-extrusion with shock-proof vinyl chloride or a robust triple chamber PVC core.
Tessilmare’s range of Fenders Profile include, Sphæra, the first Fender Profile which combines high technical performance with attractive stainless steel finishes. Bumper, a strong lightweight option, and the Radial PVC Fender Profile, which can be fitted cold in just a few steps.

Grady-White 376 Canyon set to make Australian debut at SCIBS
Australia’s exclusive Grady-White, Hatteras and Queensland Regal Dealer, Game & Leisure Boats, will present an exciting array of the latest releases from leading American brands Cabo, Grady-White and Regal at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS).
Leading their on-water display will be the new Grady-White 376 Canyon which will make its Australian debut at SCIBS. After an exceptional run of sales across the entire Grady-White range, Game & Leisure Boats are pleased to welcome the flagship of the fleet, ideally suited to Australian boating conditions and representing incredible value for fishermen and families alike.
When Grady-White introduced their new range of centre consoles in 2010, the range represented value far from what you might ordinarily expect in a typical center console.
The Canyon Series from Grady-White essentially offers a new breed of center console because the series not only offers unmatched fishing function and the 360º access of traditional center consoles, but also a big beamed, roomy console interior with the features, amenities and creature comforts you might expect in a cabin style, family oriented boat.
Game & Leisure Boats sales manager Chris Jones said the Canyon 376 showcases an evolution in centre console design.
“The hard enclosure around the three seats at the helm area provides a whole new level of protection from the elements,” Mr Jones said.
“This is a centre console that offers all the comfort of a ‘family fun’ cabin boat without sacrificing one iota of fishing function.
“No production boat builder in the world builds a bigger better quality centre console boat of this size.”
