The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) is an annual four-day event which attracts buyers and marine industry representatives from across Australia and around the globe. Staged at the idyllically situated marine residential community of Sanctuary Cove on Queensland’s Gold Coast, the event is located at the centre of the leisure boat building industry in Australia. The Gold Coast region boasts above-average boat ownership, exceptional waterways and marine infrastructure, and a penchant for the boating lifestyle.
The location for the exhibition site is The Marine Village; home to a 330 berth marina within the heart of Australia’s multi-award winning residential community. The Marine Village is a bustling marina community comprising shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and essential services as well as a 5-star resort hotel and two championship golf courses. It’s this vibrant backdrop which presents boats and products their element, enhancing the visitor experience and conveying the appeal of the boating way of life.
On display each year are thousands of boating brands, products and services – on the marina, in the pavilions and through The Marine Village. As well as a range of the latest in power, sail, multihulls, super yachts, trailerable boats for fishing and family fun, ski boats, tenders, jet skis, inflatables and tinnies, there are also a myriad of lifestyle products that complement the marine and outdoors way of life.
In 2013, Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show achieved a major milestone – 25 years of delivering great results for exhibitors and promoting Australian ingenuity and innovation to visiting international delegations. SCIBS is unique. As well as being a strong consumer event, it has positioned itself as Australia’s only comprehensive marine trade display.
As the show where the marine business does business, SCIBS has become a must-attend event for boat builders, OEM suppliers, designers, and materials and equipment retailers who are at the show seeking import/export opportunities, distributors and retail customers.
