2012 EXHIBITOR APPLICATIONS OPEN 1 NOVEMBER
On Tuesday 1 November, the 2012 Exhibitor Prospectus & Online Application Form will be available on the SCIBS website. Current 2011 exhibitors have already been notified that for a very limited time they have priority in re-booking space. After that deadline has passed space preferences will be allocated in date order of applications received.
Most people in the marine industry would agree that 2011 has been a tough year. We are happy to advise that SCIBS is making a number of changes to assist exhibitors in coping with the continuing financial pressure the marine industry has been experiencing.
• First, display rates have been reduced by 5% across all exhibition areas. Exhibitors who are eligible can also claim the 10% marine industry discount.
• Second, the initial deposit has been reduced from 30% (which has applied over the entire history of the event) to 10% for 2012.
• Third, payments can be made in full or in three instalments – 10% with your application, 40% by February 29th and the balance by March 30th.
• Fourth, SCIBS will again provide each exhibitor with $10million public liability cover for the 2012 boat show.
Exhibition Site Changes
You will see on the exhibition site plans shown on the website that we will have two pavilions side by side in The Marine Village car park area – Marinebusinessworld.com Pavilion (50 x 80m) and SCIBS Pavilion (30 x 40m). Each pavilion features a glass façade looking onto the re-configured open display area. The new SCIBS Pavilion also offers a range of smaller booths measuring 3 x 2m. The Superyacht Australia Pavilion (30 x45m) remains unchanged at its location in The Marine Village. The marina layout shows only minor changes which will assist with traffic flow.
