GOLD COAST – AUSTRALIA

Exhibitors explain:

“Why we love Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show!”

From great international business leads to excellent ROI, exhibitors are forthcoming with their reasons for returning, booking now for the 24th year to Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

Brett Vorhauer, MD at Victorian-based Marine Tech Industries which designs and manufactures marine pedestal systems, is a veteran of more than 10 years of international boat shows.

In the next six months, he will be attending METS, Seatec in Italy in February, the Dubai International Boat Show in March, and China (Shanghai) International Boat Show in April, then Sanctuary Cove in May 2012.

In his estimation, Sanctuary Cove is “by far the best in terms of the quality of visitors and the resulting work that comes out, both from the public and boat builders”.

“Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show surpasses all the other shows put together,” he states. “It’s our preferred home show. We do attend Mandurah and we went to the recent Gold Coast Marine Expo – which proved very good as well. But for ROI, Sanctuary Cove offers the best result of any show that we visit, including the international events.”
The main appeal says Vorhauer, is the visiting internationals and local business people for networking and business opportunities for the year ahead.

“We source more work there than anywhere else in the world. It’s much easier to do business in our own country. We take an 8m stand at SCIBS – double the size of other shows. It’s much easier to fly to Queensland. We’re not jet lagged, under no pressure, we have our team on hand and can keep track of the businesses we meet. It’s the ideal location, putting boating in context. All we need is a tweak in the economy and the value will be better than ever.

“I am sure the reduced rates and more favourable payment schedule will help a lot of exhibitors for 2012 and we will all really appreciate the changes.
“Sanctuary Cove is just an awesome show.”

For Paul Gwynne, Territory Manager for John Deere Limited’s Power Systems Division, 2012 is much anticipated.
“We believe Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is the best showcase in the Southern Hemisphere for our products,” he asserts. John Deere Ltd teams up with its local engine dealer, Marine Diesel Pty Ltd, to occupy adjacent sites in the MarineBusiness-World.com pavilion and has exhibited for the past four years.
“It’s the biggest marine show in our Australia/New Zealand territory and we and our dealer get the biggest bang for our buck there. SCIBS is a ‘must go’ every year. We have taken a bigger stand each year in addition to our dealer booking extra stand space for 2012, and we always come away with strong ROI.”

Dee Jones, from Smart1Marine says she and husband, Tim “had a great boat show in 2011”, their second.
“We had customers bringing their friends to us to buy product,” says Dee, from Sydney. “By sales results and quality of people, it’s the best boat show in Australia. It draws people who are interested in boating, not just looking for something to do on the weekend. The hours are wonderful, it’s not too long. As an exhibitor, you can only talk for a certain amount of time and you burn out. We are still getting sales from this year’s event – it’s all in the follow up for exhibitors.”
